25D100 charging pressure sensor signal

Fault code 25D100 charging pressure sensor signal is related to the problem with charging pressure sensor which is also known as boost pressure sensor. This sensor is installed at the inlet between turbo charge and intake manifold from where air enter into combustion engine. This sensor is use to monitor the pressure of air intake into combustion engine. According to which engine control module use to decide that how much amount of air should be inject into combustion engine.

Whenever thers is some problem occurs like carbon deposition, damage wiring harness, failure of sensor than it send wrong signal to engine control module due to which engine control module inject low or high fuel into combustion engine. Thats why there could be some problem can be present like, no boost at engine, low power high rev or at high speed.

Causes of 25D100 charging pressure sensor signal :

Faulty charge pressure sensor.

carbon deposition on charge air pressure sensor.

damage wiring harness of the sensor.

leak intake manifold or intake pipe.

leak at charge air pressure sensor ( there is a samll ring on the mouth of charge pressure sensor ).

Symptoms of 25D100 charging pressure sensor signal :

Low power at high speed.

No bosst power in engine.

Fault code will store in engine control module.

How to trouble shoot :

When there is some problem occurs at engine like no power in engine at high speed and engine light is illuminating on cluster meter. You need to scan vehicle with the help of scan tool. Scan vehicle to find out the fault code and the fault due which there is a problem of no boost at engine. When found fault code 25D100 charging pressure sensor signal store in engine control module.

First thing you need to check visually at the area of sensor if there is some loose connection or any damage at the area of sensor than repair that damage so that fault code can be erase. But when you did not find any damage or loose connection there . Than remove the charge pressure sensor and check if there is some carbon deposition on the surface of the sensor. If there is carbon deposition on the surface of sensor than clean that carbon and refit sensor. Take short trail and check if it fix the problem or not, if fix the problem than its good but if does not . Than move further to find the other reason behind this fault code.

Check wiring harness of the sensor, power supply, ground, refferance voltage , signal wire respectively. There would be 12V positive, ground, 5V refferance voltage and a signal wire also. All these thing should be there or there should be no wire damage at the wiring harness. If any one from these is missing than check the reason behind that. When found damage wiring harness than repair that damage wiring harness. Check for short fuse and all the other sources from which this is in contact with.

If all the above things are okay and there is no problem than the other thing you need to check is manifold or air intake pipe to find leak on it or leak intake air pipe. From where air can entere into combustion engine without measured by charge pressure sensor. When air will enter into combustion engine without measured by charge air pressure sensor than also this type of fault code or problem can be seen. Repair or replace leak intake manifold so that extra air should not enter into combustion engine.

Solution ;

Replace faulty charge pressure sensor.

Clean deposit carbon or dust on the mount of charge pressure sensor.

Repair damage wiring harness of the sensor.

Repair or replace leak intake manifold or intake pipe.

Special note :

When found fault code 25D100 charging pressure sensor signal store in engine control module than follow the above procedure to clear out the fault code store in engine control module. Sometime this kind of fault code could store in control due to failure of any other sensor which are connected to each other to provide some good information to engine control module. Like air mass sensor exhaust gas temperature sensor etc are connected to each other. If anyone of them will fail than they can disturb the signal of all the other sensor. So before replacing charge air pressure sensor also check all the other sensor.
